She had been getting the word out like everyone else she knew, and therefore, kept getting what she had been getting for the last 8 years, same ol’ same ol’. And with one little change is now the top in sales in the city.

Swore It Couldn’t Happen . . . Then Doubled His Company

Kevin, a VP of a $3M engineering firm went from $3M to $6M as he stood there and said, “It can’t be done.” When we originally talked he balked when I said, “let’s take a look at how we can double this company.” He was putting in 12 hour days and felt that “doubling” the revenues also meant doubling his hours into 24 hour days. He also didn’t want to manage a larger staff. In weeks he doubled his income while reducing his time to less than 8 hours, AND didn’t add one more person to his staff.  No more time, no more staff.

Actually, one of the mistakes I see almost all business owners make is that they believe that their job is to “fill their hours” by stuffing more and more clients in. They also believed that just beause they did it that way they’d end up where they wanted, having the kind of money they wanted with the time to enjoy it with the people they’d like to enjoy it with.

However, that last part, having the money they wanted with the time to enjoy with with the people they’d like to enjoy it with was always “just assumed” that it would be there if they succeeded at the first part. Not so in most of the cases. We have to plan the business so that it will deliver it that way. Then the chances of it all coming together DELIVERING that picture goes up by 10 times. . . 10 TIMES more likely to get what you wanted.

Most business owners THINK they know how to run their business, and yet, they’d like more. Ever hear this: “You just can’t keep doing what you’ve been doing and expecting different results?” So what has to change?

When you don’t know what to change, find your answers.  Acheiving a breakthrough to a totally new level is often a very small reach away.

    Yes, I am using wordpress. Although knowing HTML is not absolutely needed, being able to use HTML to tweak some things to look just the way you want them is helpful. Get Microsoft Frontpage, older copies are nearly zero cost, and this allows you to write just like you would with MS Word, and then capture the HTML coding to past into WordPress.
